Who are we?
Our company refurbishes used medical equipment and provides it to a diverse customer base.
We also realize that serving our customers means doing more than simply moving equipment. It requires relationships and service that uphold our quality equipment. Warranties, customer service, technical support, technician installs, and ongoing relationships have become an integral part of our company. They have been made possible by the expertise, quality, and vision of our team and the work they produce.

Anyone can claim “expertise,” but can you back it up with experience and understanding?
Luigi is the COO and Technical Director. He takes on the role of visionary and relationship builder for the company. It helps that he is gifted with an uncanny memory for details and that he has histology management experience. Luigi initially worked as a Histotechnologist before becoming the supervisor of UPMC’s Dermatology Lab, giving him technical know-how and experience managing technologists in the pathology field. Luigi has also been a sales rep for a major manufacturer of histology equipment and the Histology Program Director for a technical school. His work experience gives him 33 years of industry experience. The combination of his experiences provides the perfect backdrop for becoming a leader in the refurbished histology and pathology equipment field. He understands the needs of both the owner and the technician which gives him a special niche for creating and recommending products that will work for your lab.

Meet Wendy, the CEO and President of Medical Equipment Source and the one who implements the vision. Her strategic bent and leadership help fuel the growth of Medical Equipment Source. Prior to coming on board with the company, Wendy worked fourteen years as a pharmaceutical rep in the Pittsburgh region where she developed a background in medical business relations. She also spent time as a Mohs technician, and as a histocompatibility technologist providing her with a technical background of her own. Now she is the coordinator who is focused on developing key players around her to provide Medical Equipment Source with the skill and integrity needed to position it as the pace-setter in the industry.
Mission and Goals:
Our purpose is to create the ultimate buying experience in the medical market. This happens through making it as easy as possible for customers to find the medical equipment they need. We do not want people to think of finding medical equipment as a burden. Instead, we want to be a resource that puts your mind at rest and makes adding equipment to your lab an enjoyable experience.
Our goal is to be and stay the pace-setter in the refurbished histology and pathology equipment industry. Our company is not content with the status quo. Wendy and Luigi’s vision for growth necessitates investment in advancing our company. That includes investing in you, striving to improve our service, and adapting to the market. The equipment and installation of your lab. In addition to setting up entire labs, we also source individual pieces of equipment for your lab.
