Maintenance

Regular maintenance is required to keep the Tissue-Tek Prisma Automated Slide Stainer operating at peak performance:

  • Daily: Wipe exterior and interior surfaces with a clean cloth.

  • Bi-Monthly: Replace activated carbon filters every two weeks under routine operation, or sooner if elevated reagent vapors are detected.

  • Monthly: Clean drying stations, solution reservoirs, slide baskets, and reservoir trays with water or mild detergent.

Do not use solvents on the control panel. The plastic cover may be cleaned with glass cleaner and a soft cloth. Always power off and unplug the instrument before performing filter or interior maintenance.
